10 Seconds in an elevator

As you already know my other passion is photography. whenever I am traveling somewhere either close by or across to the other side of the world I will nearly always carry a camera because you never know what’s going to happen. This shot is a perfect example? Why because even though this looks like it took hours and hours to set up.

This shot took a total of ten seconds. No seriously! I would never lie to you.. common!!

Ileana was attending an awards show and well taking my camera on the way back we traveled through an elevator. The wall was illuminated and as I was exiting I turned and said “holy crap just pose there for a second!!” and thanks to my trust mirrorless camera I was able to take about 30 photos in ten seconds.

This photo was one of them!

The Martian! Loved by me and all that I have bought it for.

“Plot – Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars.

Now, he’s sure he’ll be the first person to die there.”

This book is one of my most favourite books of all time. Even if you have seen the movie please get this book. Why? because everything he talks about, the science etc is all plausible and is beautifully explained in detail. It was all checked by NASA and the reality of that makes the characters achievements so much more satisfying. It also has the greatest start to a book I have ever read. Ever.

Buy this for yourself or your Mum or Dad but please enjoy it and pass it on!

  1. I too love this book!! Can you believe I actually cried cuz I was laughing a lot at some joke cracked by the protagonist? 🤣

The movie is NO WHERE near to the book! I think every one should read the book before deciding which is good 😅

Also, I just want to point out a small fact which was actually pointed out by Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. He said that, yes, everything looks plausible and very close to what would actually happen on Mars if someone were in such a situation, but, the high winds which caused everything and which left the protagonist stranded on Mars is the only thing which is not possible on Mars. Mars cannot have such high winds (there is so much info on internet about this).

Except that, I really loved how Andy knitted the story from start to end. 🙂
